Job Description:
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) ensures the quality of Cadwell’s medical products by designing, executing, and improving manual and automated tests in collaboration with software, hardware, and product management teams.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and product management teams to plan and execute test strategies for assigned product lines.
 - Design, maintain, and execute both manual and automated tests to validate new features, bug fixes, and releases.
 - Contribute to automation initiatives using C#, Ranorex, and related tools.
 - Support continuous improvement of test coverage, processes, and tools.
 - Manage assignments, meet deliverables, and clearly communicate status and risks.
 - Maintain test documentation per company and regulatory requirements.
 - Stay current on industry trends and best practices relevant to Cadwell’s markets and technologies.
 - Perform other duties as requested, assigned, or directed.
 
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
 - Experience in software testing or development preferred.
 - Experience with C# and WPF preferred.
 - Experience with UI automation tools (e.g., Ranorex or similar) preferred.
 - Familiarity with Agile development and Azure DevOps/Git preferred.
 - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to testing and continuous improvement.
 
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- General office positions may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-waywritten/verbal communication. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
 - Extensive use of computer
 - Travel may be required; must be able to obtain necessary travel documents
 - Work hours outside normal business hours may be required to meet business needs
