Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SDET to join our Web Performance and Analytics Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, speed, and data accuracy of high-traffic web applications and analytics platforms. This position demands a strong blend of software engineering, test automation expertise, deep understanding of web technologies, and proactive ownership of quality processes.
The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, demonstrates excellent multicultural communication abilities, and possesses the technical depth required to design, implement, and maintain sophisticated test solutions in a fast-paced, international environment.
This role requires on-site presence at our office 4 days a week to support effective collaboration and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively expand and maintain comprehensive test coverage for web applications and analytics features: design, develop, execute tests, continuously maintain automated functional and integration tests; analyse test results and drive coverage improvements.
- Proactive agentic AI usage for testing purposes and daily tasks.
- Conduct exploratory testing and perform detailed review of automated test results across multiple environments (staging, production-like, cross-browser, cross-device) utilising varied test data sets.
- Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle: attend sprint planning, provide early design and code review feedback, contribute to the definition of done, and advocate for quality and maintainability improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of QA processes, tools, infrastructure, and methodologies within the team and across the organisation.
- Prepare and maintain clear, accurate documentation for test strategies, frameworks, execution guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures — suitable for both internal teams and external stakeholders/vendors.
- Engage in effective, goal-oriented communication during team collaborations, root-cause investigations, stakeholder meetings, and vendor interactions; demonstrate strong proficiency in English, cultural sensitivity, patience, politeness, and tolerance of diverse working styles.
- Identify opportunities for test automation expansion, including non-functional aspects (performance, reliability, scalability), and implement corresponding solutions.
- Responsible use of AI tools to increase the efficiency of manual work is a plus.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in software testing and automation,
- Strong proficiency in modern web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/Playwright,K8S, DOM manipulation, asynchronous programming, REST/GraphQL APIs, SPA, Docker
- Strong skills in test automation development using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, WebdriverIO, Puppeteer).
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into development workflows.
- Good programming skills in at least one language relevant to test automation (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred; Python, Java acceptable).
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proven ability to communicate clearly, politely, and effectively in multicultural, distributed teams.
- Demonstrated proactive mindset, goal orientation, and ownership of quality outcomes.
- Familiarity with agile/Scrum methodologies and experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic experience with performance testing and analysis tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WebPageTest, Chrome DevTools Performance panel, Grafana, New Relic, Datadog, or equivalent).
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) in relation to test environments.
-Experience with analytics platforms, tracking implementation testing (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, custom event tracking), and data validation in web environments.
- Basic understanding of web performance metrics, browser rendering pipeline, resource optimisation techniques, and common performance anti-patterns.
