We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test with strong expertise in manual and exploratory testing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality across Web, Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux), and native mobile applications (iOS and Android).
You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, contribute to testing strategy and release quality, and help drive continuous improvements in QA processes and product reliability.
Experience5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on manual testing, including Web applications, REST/SOAP APIs, Desktop platforms, and native mobile applications for iOS and Android.
Essential Responsibilities- Design, execute, and maintain test cases for Web, Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux), and native mobile (iOS and Android) applications;
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, cross-platform, and end-to-end testing;
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases and testing documentation;
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and validate testing requirements;
- Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and provide clear defect documentation;
- Lead bug triage activities and support issue resolution with engineering teams;
- Validate REST and SOAP APIs and verify backend data using SQL queries;
- Support release validation and post-release verification activities;
- Communicate testing progress, risks, blockers, and quality concerns to relevant stakeholders;
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing approaches, and product quality standards;
- Mentor junior QA engineers and share testing best practices across the team.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar QA position;
- Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and software testing principles;
- Hands-on experience with manual, exploratory, regression, and cross-platform testing;
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments;
- Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman and Swagger;
- Strong knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira;
- Experience working with SQL databases, including writing queries to validate data and support backend testing;
- Experience testing native mobile applications for iOS and Android;
- Ability to analyze logs, browser console output, and network traffic to investigate issues;
- Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to prioritize testing efforts and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment;
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in test automation using tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Playwright;
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Kotlin;
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git;
- Experience working in distributed or international teams;
- Experience with debugging and proxy tools such as Charles Proxy or Proxyman.
