Elekta’s growing Continuous Engineering team has opportunities for Software Escalation Engineers focused on the escalation and resolution of technical issues and defects in MOSAIQ, a certified electronic medical record system. You will be involved in creating test DLLs and interacting with customers to troubleshoot and resolve their issues as well as occasional travel to customer sites. We need your expertise to maintain and enhance software that is simple, elegant, and easy to use, ensuring that physicians can focus on fighting cancer, not troubleshooting software issues.
Responsibilities:
Elekta is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our engineering team as a Software Escalation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for handling escalations and resolving defects in our oncology workflow management application. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to our patients.

Collaborate with team members within an agile team environment to design, develop, and implement software functionality utilizing C# Visual Studio.

Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Debug and troubleshoot customer escalations and software defects to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.

Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and design practices.

Assist in the documentation of designs, requirements, and implementation details.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.

Stay updated on the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks.

Comply with Quality Management System requirements in a regulated environment.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, related field, or equivalent practical experience
-
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and principles
-
Comprehension and ability to program in C# Visual Studio • Familiarity with database concepts and experience working with SQL.

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented agile environment.

Excellent communication skills and comprehension of the English language.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an agile team.

Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to engage with customers effortlessly and consistently, requiring an outgoing and personable demeanor.

Developer with at least 1-2 years of application development experience using technologies such as .NET (C#), C++, Python, WCF.

Proven expertise in performing intricate troubleshooting and meticulous triage of complex technical issues.
-
Previous experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.

Proficiency in database query languages, including T-SQL, enabling efficient data retrieval and manipulation for informed decision-making.

Experience with HL7/FHIR standard and connectivity protocols and Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) desired
-
Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile (SAFe) or Scrum.

Understanding of current technology trends e.g., CI/CD, cloud technology

Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git/SVN
-
Knowledge of web services and API development (REST, SOAP).

Understanding of software testing principles and practices

The US base salary range for this position is $115,000-135,000.
