Position Overview
As a Software Engineer on the Concurrent Collaboration Platform, you will build reliable, scalable, and high-quality software that powers real-time collaborative experiences. You will work closely with engineers across multiple teams to solve challenging technical problems while continuously improving software quality, platform reliability, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
Develop reliable, maintainable, and efficient software with a First Time Right mindset, minimizing defects and rework
Take full ownership of the code you develop, including Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted code, with a thorough understanding of its design, behavior, and technical trade-offs
Analyze technical problems of varying complexity and design scalable, maintainable solutions using sound engineering principles, design patterns, and coding best practices
Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, and observability tools, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), communicate findings clearly, and leverage available documentation and technical expertise
Collaborate effectively within the team and across engineering organizations to solve platform-wide technical challenges
Partner proactively with domain experts, architects, and stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions
Participate actively in code reviews and design discussions while incorporating feedback to continuously improve software quality and technical expertise
Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features and components, delivering predictable, high-quality outcomes
Build deep technical expertise in the platform components you own and continuously expand your domain knowledge
Demonstrate accountability by meeting commitments, proactively communicating risks, and contributing to engineering excellence
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering) in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming
Knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and coding best practices
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passion for learning new technologies and continuously improving technical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native applications, or collaborative software platforms
Familiarity with modern programming languages such as C++, Java, Go, or Python
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices
Experience working in Agile software development environments
Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and logging tools
