The Automation Engineer – RPA designs, develops, tests, and maintains automation solutions using UiPath under the guidance of senior engineers. This role supports enterprise automation initiatives by building stable, secure, and scalable bot solutions while developing strong software engineering and automation fundamentals.

The role requires a foundational understanding of object-oriented programming, coding best practices, and structured development approaches.

Essential Functions
  • Participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of RPA solutions using UiPath.
  • Apply basic object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and coding best practices in automation development.
  • Assist in translating business requirements into technical workflows and Solution Design Documents (SDDs).
  • Develop automation components based on defined designs and reusable standards.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot bot failures, analyze logs, and support root cause analysis.
  • Support deployment activities and utilize UiPath Orchestrator for job monitoring, queue handling, and basic operations.
  • Perform unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to refine automation solutions.
  • Follow secure coding practices and comply with enterprise security, governance, and risk policies.
  • Support production monitoring and incident resolution under supervision.
  • Learn and contribute to AI-enabled automation use cases (e.g., integrating external services or document processing tools where applicable).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0–2 years of experience in software development, automation, or a related field.
  • Exposure to UiPath development (academic, internship, or project experience preferred).
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts (C#, Java, or Python).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) fundamentals.
  • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with UiPath Studio (academic or project-based).
  • Familiarity with UiPath Orchestrator fundamentals (jobs, queues, assets).
  • Understanding of automation frameworks (e.g., REFramework – basic knowledge).
  • Exposure to API integrations or working with structured/unstructured data.
  • Awareness of AI/ML-enabled automation concepts (e.g., Document Understanding, basic AI integrations).
  • UiPath Associate Certification (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe).
