About the role:

Reporting to Adam Zaziabl for Money Movement, SDE II will work as a backend developer building a new Money Movement platform and potentially migrating remittance products to this platform. We are looking for a person with experience in GoLang.

You will:

  • Create scalable, robust platform

  • Write effective and efficient code

  • Set the standard for delivering well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient code on time

  • Participate with PM and principal/senior engineers to break down tasks and provide estimates

  • Lead and mentor other engineers

  • Become an expert with tools and programming languages, engineering processes used within the team in a scalable cloud-based architecture

  • Write technical specification and participate in design reviews

  • Interview and ramp new hires

You have: 

  • A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

  • 4+ years of experience as a software developer

  • Understanding of software development practices, system design, software design patterns, and algorithms

  • Professional experience with building microservices in Go or Java

  • Familiarity with Go

  • Familiarity with SQL and noSQL databases

  • Experience with containerized applications

  • You focus on building a great product based on quality metrics rather than delivering features

The ideal candidate is a backend engineer with Golang experience who will teach the team best practices. They should have deep expertise in distributed systems, and preferably with microservices architecture. Someone mid-level who is eager to work with more senior developers designing a new platform and figuring out how to migrate remittance products. Top notch debugging skills and awareness of software best practices. We welcome individuals with a background in backend development in other languages, who are also enthusiastic about learning GoLang.
