About the teamThe Agentic Enablement team is part of Zillow’s Agentic Data Platform organization, providing the foundation for AI teams as they build agentic experiences across Zillow. The team partners closely on delivery while identifying and scaling reusable platform patterns that help AI solutions move from early implementation to durable, production-ready capabilities.

About the role

In this role, you will help build reusable data platforms and pipelines that enable AI teams to deliver next-generation customer experiences. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to solve immediate business needs while shaping scalable platform capabilities that can support future AI use cases. We’re looking for an engineer who thrives in ambiguity, maintains a high bar for production quality, and is energized by building innovative solutions at scale.
 

You Will Get To:

• Design, build, deploy, and support scalable data platforms and pipelines that power AI use cases across Zillow.

• Partner with scientists, engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and deliver the data foundations they need to deliver at speed and scale.

• Optimize data in production systems for scale, reliability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.

• Strengthen platform reliability by contributing to shared tooling, infrastructure, and self-service capabilities that accelerate AI development.

• Support and improve a portfolio of platform services to drive adoption, delivery, and operational excellence.

• Learn from senior engineers, grow your technical expertise, and contribute to high engineering standards in a fast-moving AI environment.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• You have 3+ years of software development experience and strong proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or another modern programming language, along with a solid foundation in SQL, data structures, and algorithms.

• You have experience with Databricks or a similar data environment and have built scalable, reliable data pipelines using technologies such as Spark, Hive, Kafka, or Flink.

• You have experience working with customers or stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment and can adapt quickly as priorities evolve.

• It’s a plus if you have experience with streaming systems, real-time AI applications, or foundational infrastructure for agentic systems.

• It’s a plus if you have experience with containerization and production systems, including tools such as Docker or Kubernetes and DevOps practices.

• It’s a plus if you bring experience in data modeling, working with regulated or sensitive data, or an advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
