Software Development Engineer 2

The AI Delivery Hub accelerates the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across Amadeus by developing reusable AI capabilities, shared services, and scalable engineering frameworks that empower business teams to deliver solutions efficiently.

As an AI Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and operationalize AI-powered components that can be reused across multiple products and domains. You will work with Generative AI, AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and modern cloud technologies to transform innovative ideas into scalable, real-world solutions.

This role is ideal for a skilled software engineer who is motivated to contribute to the evolution of AI-based software development across Amadeus.

• Design and build reusable AI services, APIs, and platform components.
• Create AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agent frameworks.
• Develop secure, maintainable, and scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise products and shared platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Data Engineers to deliver value.
• Apply modern engineering practices—CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and secure development.
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve code quality and productivity.
• Contribute to reusable assets that make AI deployment easier across Amadeus.

Technical Expertise

• Solid software engineering foundation with experience building scalable applications.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience developing APIs, microservices, or cloud-native solutions.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and RAG architectures.
• Knowledge or interest in AI Agents, prompt design, and knowledge retrieval methods.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Understanding of CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph is a plus.

• Analytical thinker with a collaborative mindset.
• Curious and continuously learning, especially about emerging technologies.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Communicates effectively and values inclusivity and teamwork.

• Experience contributing to AI Platform Engineering, MLOps, or LLMOps environments.
• Understanding of explainable AI, observability, or Human-in-the-Loop designs.
• Experience with vector databases or AI knowledge platforms.
• Familiarity with automation and platform engineering practices.

Typical Experience: Approximately 4–6 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in software engineering with exposure to AI technologies.
