Northrop Grumman’s Corporate enterprise platform organization is seeking a skilled Software Developer to support the strategy and capabilities of our Next Gen ServiceNow Technology team. In this position, you will become part of a team of experts supporting our ServiceNow platform that is delivering intuitive, consumer-centric, industry leading, and secure solutions. You will build and code applications and/or modules using languages such as Java, compile technical documentation, and analyze system capabilities to identify output requirements, data import requirements and programming techniques. You will need to be a self-starter who can work in an agile environment focused on innovative service delivery. Your excellent technical, communication, and collaboration skills will be utilized as you work with passionate, motivated individuals across the enterprise.
This is a remote/virtual position. Remote/virtual arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
Responsibilities of the successful candidate include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, developing, and deploying ServiceNow solution in support of enterprise initiatives
- Modifying maintaining, and modernizing existing solutions
- Mentoring, training, or demonstrating to other professionals, as required.
- Collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize efforts to ensure continuous value to the business.
- Use of various communication channels and software to interact with virtual customers and development teams.
- Creating technical documentation of software changes
- Performing emergency on-call duties
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of relevant experience.
- At least 1 year of development experience with ServiceNow
- Competence as a developer utilizing ServiceNow’s App Engine to create applications and digital workflows.
- Proficient in the development of technical solutions such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
- Understanding of SQL database connections, object structures and queries
- Ability to research new technologies for solution creation.
- Self-motivated, creative problem-solver who can adapt to new technologies and evolving customer requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills: ability to juggle multiple assignments and manage changing priorities.
- Great attention to detail and strong conceptual, analytical, and planning skills
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team and cross-team environment
- Ability to travel, on occasion, to support different locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming
- Understanding of general networking principles
- Cloud architecture and integration
- Experience with Agile methodology.
Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
