About the role
Become a driving force in our mission to revolutionise building maintenance! As a Software Developer at SFG20, you'll design, develop, and enhance cutting-edge software solutions that empower our clients to create safer, more sustainable built environments. You'll be an integral part of a collaborative and agile team, working closely with Product Owners to bring exciting new features to life.
Key Responsibilities
You will take ownership of your projects, from selecting tickets and estimating complexity to writing clean, efficient code and participating in code reviews.
This includes:
Developing features for our systems.
Estimating the complexity of tickets and tasks.
Delivering the required software development tasks.
Striving for quality in your work product.
Ensuring user stories are properly refined and groomed.
Having influence over implementation choices.

You'll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions, champion best practices, and contribute to shaping the future of our software. Essential experience
JavaScript and Node.js proficiency
Experience with TypeScript
Experience with Cypress automated testing
Experience working with QA teams
Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
Experience with Agile development methodologies. (e.g. Kanban)
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for continuous learning and development.
Desirable experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Portfolio on GitHub or other similar platform
All candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. We are unfortunately not able to offer sponsorship. Documentary evidence will be required.
