We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our Pittsburgh-based team supporting the critical systems that power our U.S. CCG business operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing core mainframe applications that are essential to delivering reliable service and value to our business partners. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset and a passion for modernization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for critical mainframe applications supporting U.S. CCG operations.
• Develop and implement enhancements and fixes to improve functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide timely response and resolution to production issues.
• Collaborate closely with business partners and IT teams in Pittsburgh to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives, including system refactoring, API enablement, and integration with distributed platforms.
• Support change management, release coordination, and documentation activities.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise development standards, security guidelines, and operational best practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of experience in mainframe development and support.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and IDMS.
• Experience with batch and online transaction processing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call support rotation.
Preferred:
• Experience with mainframe modernization efforts, such as API development, replatforming, or data migration.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, automated testing).
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M) and change management processes (e.g., ServiceNow).
