Healthcare systems are complex systems that rely on accurate data that integrates well across systems. Given the complexity of healthcare payments we are looking for someone that has a quality control mindset and experience building highly available and highly scalable systems. As a member of this team, you will help drive the quality of our code by writing, testing and supporting the code that lives in our production environment. We focus on using test driven development methods because it allows us to gain confidence in the code we write and support. You will have an opportunity to partner with our product team to help drive new features, so our products remain competitive in the marketplace.

The engineering team is responsible for building healthcare payment solutions that allow providers to take point of care payments, manage the patient in-take process, and proactively reach out to patients for post-care payments. Our payment solutions go beyond payments and integrate payment transactions with any practice management system in the healthcare space. This is all done by adhering to well-known software development practices, such Scrum, peer code reviews, etc. Our tech stack includes PHP/Symfony, JS/React/Nextjs, and leveraging serverless lambda functions and other AWS resources when applicable.

• 2 years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with PHP frameworks like Symfony or Laravel
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and modern PHP best practices
• Familiarity with Doctrine or other ORM tools
• Experience working with JavaScript frameworks (Next.js preferred)
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
• Experience deploying to and managing workloads in AWS
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
• Working knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
