Leidos' National Security Sector currently has an opening for a Software Developer to join our Chief Technology Office’s Space Software team in Colorado Springs – CO. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to advance space domain awareness and space battle management capabilities for the US Space Force and Department of Defense. In this mission we develop, test, and integrate advanced command and control (C2), processing, and analytics to accelerate our Nation’s capability to search, acquire, characterize, and assess threats from new space launches and on-orbit events.
As a software developer on a Leidos space software team, you will collaborate across a multi-disciplinary organization to architect and develop code, integrate software with Leidos and technology partners, and support testing of space battle management capabilities. You will also have an opportunity to interface with US Space Force Guardians to capture operational challenges and demonstrate solutions to those challenges.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related major and 4+ years’ experience in software development.
Experience working in defense contracting industry, in particular with US Space Force or other DoD customers.
Must have experience with Agile programming, test-driven development, microservice based architectures, and JavaScript.
Must be US citizen with active Secret security clearance and able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing, testing and integrating space domain capabilities.
Experience working with DOD customers to identify pain paints, document requirements and features, and demonstrate and adapt prototype capabilities.
Active TS/SCI Clearance.
