Red River Technology is currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Software Developer to join our team in supporting a Navy mission-critical program. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a vital initiative that directly impacts national operational readiness across the entire US Naval Fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, test, and deliver software solutions.
- Develop clean, efficient, and scalable code in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from concept to deployment.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing codebase to ensure high performance and maintainability.
- Write unit tests and ensure quality of code through automated testing.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Assist with system integration and ensure seamless communication between systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Java, C++, Python or other programming languages] Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker or other technologies, databases, or tools is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to approach complex problems with analytical thinking and creative solutions.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Version Control: Proficiency in Git or other version control systems.
- Software Development Lifecycle: Familiarity with agile development methodologies and software development best practices.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.) is beneficial.
- Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):
This position is an office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday.This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
Special Requirements:
This position operates from a Red River office or Remote office, with travel to customer and partner sites as required.
