The Leidos Innovations Center produces and sustains sensor systems supporting Homeland Defense. We are seeking a software developer to join our cross-functional engineering team using cutting edge Dev Ops practices that will directly impact the Department of Defense’s Homeland Defense mission by improving survivability and decreasing vulnerability against foreign threat systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient C/C++ and Java code using modern Dev Op techniques
- Optimize, identify bottlenecks, bugs, and devise solutions to problems including Maintain code quality, revision control and organization, Analyze customer issues and identify and implement solutions, Participate and contribute within a defined software development process
- Candidate shall participate in the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. Applies appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle. Duties include development of software products and tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure, and platforms.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Expert knowledge of C and C++ languages and bash scripting
- Experience with version control using VCS such as GIT and Subversion
- Modern software development practices using branch and merge methods to maintain error-free code base content
- Use of Docker image in CI/CD environments to build and test code
- Complex systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, modeling and simulation
- Experience with Linux systems, including Enterprise Linux such as Centos and RedHat
- Additional language experience in Java and MATLAB is a strong advantage
- Candidate must be a US Citizen

Pay Range:Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00
