About The Role
 

Join eWAY, one of Oceania's leading global payment service providers, and help design, build, and test the core systems that power millions of secure transactions.

We're looking for a Software Developer who brings technical excellence, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset to a growing engineering team. You'll play a key role in developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance payment solutions while working alongside talented engineers, product specialists, and stakeholders.

Salary

The salary for this position is $140k+ superannuation.
 

What you’ll own

  • Design, build and maintain secure, high-quality .NET code that powers our core systems.
  • Champion automated testing, unit, integration and beyond, to keep releases fast and reliable.
  • Get to know our software architecture inside and out, and use that knowledge to drive smart, business-aligned decisions.
  • Bring energy to our Agile team, staying ahead of the curve on modern software design and development practices.
  • Partner across the business, from clear documentation to hands-on support when incidents strike, building strong relationships along the way.

What you’ll bring

  • A degree in Information Technology (or equivalent experience) and 3+ years building software commercially.
  • Strong .NET expertise — .NET, .NET Core, C#, and hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud-based APIs.
  • Comfort with Microsoft SQL and cloud database platforms (think AWS RDS, GCP Cloud Spanner, DynamoDB or Cloud Datastore).
  • A security-first mindset, with experience in threat modelling, penetration testing and modern web technologies, plus a knack for using AI tools like Copilot to work smarter.
  • Strong communication skills, an independent streak, and a growth mindset that thrives on solving hard problems.

It’s a bonus if you have

  • Previous experience in Financial Services-related industries.
  • A working knowledge of PCI-DSS requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience designing, building and supporting distributed transaction processing systems, ideally in a cloud-centric environment.
