Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java 11+, Spring boot, Gradle, Swagger, Postman, Junit 5, Rest Assured, Gatling, and Hoverfly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain API contract designs.
- Contribute to the creation of user stories and ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements.
- Apply Agile/SAFe concepts to drive efficient testing processes.
- Containerize applications and utilize Docker for testing environments.
- Conduct testing for Rest APIs, API Security, Service Discovery, Distributed tracing, and Cloud Concepts.
- Implement and execute tests in an Agile/SAFe environment.
- Promote API best practices, reusability, and resilience.
- Drive automation initiatives and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Apply ITSM practices to ensure efficient testing and incident management.
- Test Microservices architecture and applications.
- Possess the flexibility and willingness to support other roles, such as transitioning from Dev to Tester when needed.
- Exposure to the Insurance or Banking sector is desirable.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Java 11+, Gradle, Swagger, Postman, Junit 5, Rest Assured, Gatling, and Hoverfly.
- Knowledge of Spring boot, Java 17+ and the Netflix Stack (Zuul, Ribbon, Eureka) is a plus.
- Experience with API Contract design and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe concepts and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in containerization, Rest APIs, API Security, Service Discovery, Distributed tracing, Cloud Concepts, and Microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines, particularly Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Knowledge of DB2, JIRA, and Confluence is advantageous.
- Openness to the idea of Pairing and a demonstrated sense of ownership.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
