The work includes trade studies, system engineering, model-based system engineering, software development and product testing and deployment. Leidos is focused on finding the best people, processes, and tools that will provide solutions in data integration and fusion, data analytics, data mining, predictive analytics, data visualization, and decision support tools.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mission-critical software in support of missile defense systems
- Provide site oversight for development
- Aid in the containerization of legacy code written in JAVA and C++
- Participate in sprint and increment testing to validate software
- Document and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment
- Stay up-to-date on state-of-the-art programming techniques and software technologies
- Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skill sets
- Mentor junior level software developers
- Ability to create software solutions from established industry standards
- Work with System Engineering Team to schedule, synchronize and execute demonstration capabilities to customers
- Work with third-party contractors and stakeholders to coordinate and synchronize work integration
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 20 – 25 years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Experience coding in C++ and Java
- Experience developing micro-services and working with containerization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion
- Ability to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in associated field
- Currently possess a Secret clearance
- Experience with missile warning and missile warning defense
- Experience in algorithm development and testing
- Understanding of missile warning message types
- Experience with the Agile software development process IAW USG defined requirements

Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
