The Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Software Developer to join our growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, large-scale distributed systems while contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and enhance products that support our global business, while continuously improving performance, reliability, scalability, and security across our platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Software Developer, you will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, including:

  • Refining user stories and defining clear acceptance criteria.
  • Designing, developing, testing, and delivering features aligned with business requirements.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of code quality, development standards, and engineering practices.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Supporting and enhancing production systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborating with Product Owners, Architects, and fellow engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Contributing to system performance, resilience, scalability, and security initiatives.
What We're Looking ForEssential Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial software development experience, ideally within an e-commerce or high-transaction environment.
  • Strong proficiency in .NET (Core) and C#.
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server and modern NoSQL solutions.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and principles for building scalable and maintainable distributed systems.
  • Experience developing and consuming APIs (REST and/or SOAP) using formats such as JSON and XML.
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) using frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, GoCD, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle from requirements through to production support.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Understanding of low-latency, high-concurrency, distributed systems and the challenges associated with building them.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications.
  • Hands-on knowledge of a major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
