Software Developer (Mid-Senior Level)

Software Developers-- We’re building a dynamic engineering team supporting a premier program. Seeking candidates who are highly motivated to put their knowledge into play developing, deploying and maintaining advanced, complex operational networks. Seeking talent for full time onsite positions in the Lorton, VA area.  Clearance requirement: Active Secret clearance.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Identifying technical strategies to interconnect disparate software applications by authoring original software programs
• Designing and authoring original software applications from a high level, non-specific set of concepts provided by the government
• Writing programs that achieve a desired outcome or workflow from nothing more than observation of desired outcomes, workflows, or from vague original concepts
• Producing specifications and design documentation including: Process flow, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, physical architecture, system and web service interface specifications, data dictionary, data model
• Creating project work estimates
• Implementing solutions and identify operational or management issues
• Systems designing, policy development, and database development and management, and user interface development
• Utilizing available Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software to the maximum extent practicable in designing software applications, avoiding implementation of a proprietary system

Duties involved:

• Front-end Development, implementation and optimization of the user interface components
• Transition, modernize, and sustain the main code base of the application
• Collaborate to implement new features, enhance existing functionality, and address any technical debt to ensure the application meets evolving mission requirements
• Transition activities to include requirement reviews and assessments, backlog reviews, documentation review, development environment and tooling standup
• Support demonstrations at sprint and product increment reviews

Clearance requirement:

• Active Secret minimum

Education:

• Four (4) year college degree in software development or computer science
• In lieu of education, ten (10) years of experience of software development for systems in a production environment.

Experience to include:

• Five (5) years' experience of software development for systems in a production environment
• Must be familiar with a variety of scripts, programming languages, and operating systems. Examples of relevant computer programming languages currently used to design and deploy components that include, but are not limited to: C#, Python, PowerShell, ASP.NET, SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Microservices Architecture
• Expertise in front-end technologies ensures a seamless and responsive user experience across various devices and platforms.
