Lucayan Technology Solutions is seeking Software Developers to design, develop, and maintain software solutions within the IRS Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. Multiple positions are available. The ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in Microsoft cloud technologies, automation scripting, and supporting federal or large enterprise environments with high compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Write, maintain, and enhance .NET code (C#, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework).
- Develop PowerShell scripts for automation, system administration, and workflow efficiency.
- Customize SharePoint lists and develop model-driven PowerApps solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across M365 services and applications.
- Collaborate with IRS SMEs and project teams to ensure solutions meet IRS-specific compliance, security, and operational requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience, with focus on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform in large enterprise or federal environments.
- Experience supporting federal government clients or high-compliance environments; IRS experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in .NET development, including C#, ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with SharePoint Administration and Power Platform integration.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a remote, compliance-focused federal environment.
Security Clearance & Training Requirements
- Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust (MBI) clearance.
- Must complete all IRS-required security, privacy, and compliance training.
- Must adhere to federal cybersecurity and organizational protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation, workflow optimization, and process improvement in M365 environments.
- Microsoft certifications such as:
- Microsoft 365 Developer Associate
- Power Platform Developer or Functional Consultant certifications
- Experience working with distributed teams in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with federal frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and Zero Trust.

- Fully remote work with collaboration across distributed teams, technical staff, and IRS stakeholders.
- Fast-paced, compliance-driven environment requiring attention to detail and adherence to federal standards.
- May involve occasional after-hours support for deployments, updates, or urgent troubleshooting.
