What You'll Do
- Innovate and Create: Develop and enhance SQL stored procedures, tables, functions, and views, leveraging pre-built product-level database objects to optimize data manipulation.
- Tailored Solutions: Design custom tools and solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve software issues reported by clients and internal teams.
- User Interface Design: Assist in creating intuitive, high-quality browser-based user interfaces.
- Upgrade Systems: Modernize legacy code (SQL, VB.NET, JavaScript) to align with updated versions of the platform.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure efficiency, consistency, and first-pass quality.
- Adapt and Learn: Embrace new technologies and adapt to evolving development environments.
- Additional Duties: Perform related tasks as required to support project goals and organizational objectives.
What You'll Bring
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and object-oriented programming (VB.NET, JavaScript, C#, PHP, Java, C++).
- Front-End Skills: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Development Tools: Familiarity with IDEs like Visual Studio for development and debugging.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively to solve problems.
- Time Management: Strong skills in managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- SDLC Knowledge: Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts clearly across the organization and to non-technical audiences.
- Bonus Points: Experience with any of the following: VB.NET and ASP.NET MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, jQuery, Bootstrap, Entity Framework, LINQ, mobile development, and ADA/WCAG compliance.
- Education & Experience: Associates Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of work experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with demonstrated software development skills.
