Your roleat ZEISS Medical Technology: As a Software Developer, you will help improve healthcare by creating software for next-generation medical devices. You will work in a modern and innovative environment, where your main tasks will include:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions for surgical microscopes
Collaborating within a dedicated and motivated cross-functional team
Taking technical ownership of key features for a high-end surgical microscope
Troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues
Coordinating technical aspects with external development partners
Supporting software architecture topics, including the creation of technical documentation
A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Software Developer, ideally in a regulated environment (medical, automotive, military)
Strong knowledge of C++ 14/17/20
Proficient in Object-Oriented Development (OOD, OOP)
Experience in agile software development throughout the product lifecycle
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
Proficient verbal and written skills in English, and preferably in German as well
