Job Description:
Brief task descriptionAs an Intern Software Engineer in the L90 Interlocking Product Team, you will support the development and integration of software components that contribute to a fully functional product aligned with the customer’s solution. You will work closely with experienced engineers and collaborate with stakeholders such as architects, business analysts, and product teams to understand requirements and contribute to implementation tasks.
During your internship, you will gain exposure to how software products evolve within long-term product lines. You will assist in development activities, perform basic testing, contribute to debugging and issue resolution under guidance and support the development of various internal tools using various programming/scripting languages. You will also learn how to follow development processes, coding standards, and quality requirements in a professional environment.
Professional competencyEducation and experience:- Programming Expertise in C
- Scripting (shell, python)
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with teams across multiple disciplines (design, product management, business analysis) and geographic locations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in or domain knowledge of transportation would be a plus
- English (very good reading and writing)
- German would be a plus
