Job Summary:
The mission of the Software Developer on the API team is to is design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# and the .NET framework. In the addition, the Software Developer will assist with technical design, code construction, technical team growth, bug resolution and environment support. The Senior Software Developer demonstrates resourcefulness, takes direction, provides direction, and learns new technologies to support the business. The responsibilities of this position include crafting new and maintaining existing web apps interacting with APIs, working with complex datasets, and demonstrating expertise in a variety of programming languages and application development, in a dynamic team environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with product managers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective API solutions.
- Designs, develops, and maintains RESTful APIs using C# and the .NET framework and .NET Core
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Develops integration solutions with internal and external systems.
- Participate in architectural and design discussions to ensure APIs align with business goals.
- Assesses feasibility of design and project parameters within time and cost constraints.
- Develops and executes unit tests and integration tests to ensure API reliability and performance.
- Participates in code reviews and adopt continuous integration practices to maintain high-quality code standard
- Develops code and designs software applications based on user specifications.
- Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Maintain up-to-date API documentation using tools such as Swagger/WebAPI/OpenAPI.
- Provide ongoing support and enhancements for existing APIs.
- Designs data models and database schemas for specific application areas.
- Collaborates with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems to support required applications.
- Supervisory Responsibilities, including but not limited to collaboration, mentoring team members, enabling opportunities for individual technical growth, and strengthening the team, among others.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Able to work 2nd-shift (3PM to 12 midnight), Mondays to Fridays

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field required.
- At least five years of experience as a software developer or engineer required.
- At least five years of experience with C# and .NET web apps and RESTful APIs.
- Proven experience in API development using C#
- Experience with Azure cloud services, Azure Service bus, ADB2C, Azure AKS
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and
- Understanding of modern API security practices (OAuth, JWT, etc.)
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming and performance tuning.
- Experience working with SQL Server and writing queries for relational databases.
- Strong understanding of RESTful architecture and API design principles.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, etc.) and designing efficient queries.
- Experience with Salesforce integration is preferred.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar systems.
- Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of coding languages and systems.
- Ability to participate in Agile sprinting and ceremonies.
