As a Control Software Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team with Control Software Engineers and Mechanical Engineers, located in Stovring. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the PLC and HMI software of multiple systems. In this role you are working closely with various other disciplines and with our customers.

🔍 About the Role

As our new Software Engineer you will, together with your colleagues, be focusing on our portfolio within prepared foods that includes mixers and grinders. You will be a part of a team of 70 colleagues that is located in both Denmark and the Netherlands. In your daily work you will be a part of a team of 15 members. As a Software Engineer you can use all your creativity to create innovative production system solutions. If you like to be in a position where you can turn ideas into software designs and industrial solutions, this is the perfect role for you.

🧠 What You’ll Do

Your daily to-do list will look a lot like this:

  • Participate in design, implementation and testing of software modules and software features on our equipment
  • Analyze requirements and write design specifications for software modules and software features
  • Contribute to team collaboration and build team spirit
  • Have customer-site work related to new product releases, installation support and training of other employees
  • Provide technical support to our (internal) customers
  • Day to day discussions with other disciplines, like Mechanical and Electrical
  • Prepare and upgrade/install our systems at customer locations over the world
  • Maintain technical and technological knowledge within your field of expertise

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent in PLC programming/ Controls engineering through experience.
  • Experience with PLC programming, structed text and ladder logic
  • Experience with developing machine UI/GUI
  • Knowledge of frequency drives
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols  like  EtherNetIP, OPC-UA
  • Ability to develop software features for both standard equipment and order engineering, including line control integrating with third-party machines, including commissioning at customers
  • Familiarity with PackML standards
  • Capability in reading and understanding electrical drawings
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

🌟 Nice to Have

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC platform, including Studio 5000 or B&R PLC
  • Experience with FactoryTalk ME/SE or Optix
  • Knowledge of B&R PLC is an additional advantage (Automation Studio)

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in PLC programming/controls engineering
