Job Summary

KBR – EWS is seeking a Software Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to support our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in software configuration management processes and tools. The position supports the Senior CM/DM Specialist and focuses on maintaining software configuration baselines, version control, and documentation integrity throughout the software lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Support the implementation of software CM processes and procedures.

· Maintain version control and configuration baselines for software products.

· Track and document software changes and releases.

· Ensure compliance with CM standards and best practices.

· Assist in preparing CM documentation and reports.

· Perform audits and reviews of software configuration items.

· Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate configuration tracking.

· Utilize tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Confluence for CM activities.

· Support process improvement initiatives related to software CM.

· Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

· Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in software configuration management.

· Active Top Secret security clearance.

· Experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.

· Familiarity with software development lifecycle and version control practices.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with DoD software CM standards and practices.

· Familiarity with Army operations or defense acquisition programs.

· Knowledge of PLM applications.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $115,000-$145,000

The salary range posted is for Colorado Springs, CO. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
