The Software Automation Engineer is responsible for developing/scripting and maintaining existing automation frameworks, development tools and scripts for testing wireless, smart phone and cloud based software solutions for a variety of healthcare and Internet of Things (IoT) problems.
Responsibilities:
• Design automation frameworks, develops, tests and documents wireless, smart phone and cloud based software solutions
• Ensures that their design is in compliance with Company policies, and that software activities are appropriate for the design and maintenance of medical products.
• Writes and maintains design documentation and testing requirements.
• Works with Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and Manufacturing to ensure that designs meet technical, regulatory and manufacturing requirements.
• Works closely with other UX designers, software developers, software QA, and hardware engineers to integrate, debug, and test systems.
• Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision.
• Works closely with other software and hardware engineers to integrate and debug systems.
• Works with other departments to troubleshoot field issues.
• Participate in product design reviews.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Requirements:
• 4+ year’s of automation software development/testing experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java or C/C++ is required.
• Hands-on development and testing experience with mobile applications is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing automated test solutions, tools and integrations for mobile and cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated work experience testing wireless communications, including Bluetooth devices.
• Ability to develop automated test solutions for Android and iOS platforms.
• Demonstrated work experience with Web services, Cloud and API technologies.
• Knowledge of API management concepts & fundamentals.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Excellent communications skills and extensive experience working with technical teams and management.
• Experience with Agile software development preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully launching products in FCC & FDA regulated industries preferred.
• Ability to quickly grasp & learn new technologies.
• Medical device experience is preferred.
• Agile or other software development life cycle concepts is a plus.
• Knowledge of Wireless protocols like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a plus.
• Detail oriented, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to organize and judge multiple priorities.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $109,808.00 - $164,711.75. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
