Job Description:
Software Automation Engineer
We are looking for a self-motivated Software Automation Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a team of highly talented Software and Applications engineers. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving complex problems, driving automation, and working directly with cutting-edge semiconductor design and test technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance automation flows that connect EDA tools to Advantest 93K test platforms.
- Collaborate with software, DV, and test engineering teams to build scalable, high-performance automation solutions.
- Design and maintain tools using Java, C++, Python, and JavaScript (or similar GUI frameworks).
- Support customer engagements, debug sessions, and pattern-bring-up workflows using Velocity and ST8 where applicable.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and help evolve next-generation automation methodologies.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Java, C++, and Python.
- Experience with EDA environments (Cadence, Siemens/Mentor, Synopsys) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Advantest V93000 (93K) test platforms is a major plus.
- Experience with Velocity Software
- Experience developing GUIs or dashboards using JavaScript or other UI frameworks.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities include:
Working with a team coding debugging Java, C++ and python routines relating to automation techniques.

- Experience with semiconductor design flows, verification environments, or tester-based program development.
- Background in automation, data analytics, or large-scale workflow orchestration.
- Exposure to STIL, WGL, VCD, FSDB, or ATE pattern formats.
- Prior customer-facing or applications engineering experience.
Education & Experience:
- BSEE or MS Computer Science
- 10+ years of work experience
