Vonage is looking for a talented and enthusiastic software architect. You will join an architecture team that works across multiple product lines and with hundreds of engineers. You will be working with engineering teams, product managers and other architects to help set the direction for platforms across the enterprise.
We use a broad range of technologies and patterns: Micro-frontends, micro-services, monoliths, React, Vue.js, NodeJs, .Net (C#), Java, Kafka, SNS/SQS, Kubernetes, MySql, Postgres, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, EC2, Jenkins, GitHub actions… the list is long. We are hoping you will help us knit all these parts into a cohesive whole.

- Strong soft skills & ability to work with and influence multiple teams and leaders. Leading without authority.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic team.
- Knowledge of micro-services, async communication, distributed systems development, and monolith decomposition.
- Experience operating in a similar technical lead role.
- Seeing the bigger picture and grasping the full scope of the business.
- Strong advocacy for Agile and Lean software development practices.
- A drive to always leave things better than how you found them: code, processes, documentation, interactions with people and every other aspect of your work life.
Required:
- 10+ years in software development
- Very strong technical skills across a broad suite of technologies. No one person can cover every technology and design pattern but will be able to draw from your experience to generalize and learn quickly.
- 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies . AWS is great, but Azure and GCP are fine too.
- 3+ years of experience as a software architect for 4+ teams
