About Metrios:
The Thermo Scientific™ Metrios™ is an advanced TEM imaging system designed to automate and optimize imaging workflows. With the Metrios™ AX, we introduced the world's first commercially available Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (S/TEM) using machine learning for automated, high-quality data collection. Key responsibilities

• Independently design software solutions based on written and verbal requirements

• Make practical development decisions when faced with limited design information and fixed delivery schedules

• Develop and implement features to improve existing products and support new applications

• Build and maintain code for software subsystems using Microsoft Visual Studio

• Review, understand, and enhance C# code written by other developers; fix bugs and improve performance

• Respond to production and service needs by addressing change requests and resolving reported issues

• Learn the use cases and architectural design of Metrios and related systems

• Read and interpret subsystem-level requirement documents

• Contribute to the creation of requirement documents based on domain expertise

• Write and maintain unit tests and automated test scripts to ensure code quality

• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to cross-team decisions

• Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and the Integrated Management System (IMS)

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary technical environment to solve complex technical problems.

• Extensive experience as a Software Developer and/or Software Architect

• Proficiency in C# and Python

• Strong foundation in relevant theories and best practices

• Ability to quickly learn and apply professional concepts, as well as company policies, to resolve routine issues

• Experience with developing and maintaining software solutions by working on problems of moderate complexity

• Analyzing data and situations, reviewing multiple factors to determine appropriate actions

• Applying sound judgment within established procedures and frameworks

• Contributing to achieving team and project objectives under general managerial oversight
