Software Architect

ClickSend is a global cloud-based SaaS communications platform for businesses and developers that enables companies of all shapes and sizes to easily and cost effectively communicate with their customers and staff via multiple channels. ClickSend is seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead the design of scalable, high-performance microservices and cloud-native solutions. You'll collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to drive technical excellence, modernize our platform, and shape our tech strategy.

Key responsibilities:

• Architect & Design: Drive the development of scalable, resilient microservices and distributed systems across our teams
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Deeply collaborate with the engineering teams to optimize AWS-based cloud-native solutions for security, efficiency, and reliability.
• Technical Leadership: Set best practices for architecture, coding standards, and DevOps.
• Engineering Impact: Lead system-wide architecture decisions to drive innovation and speed.
• Mentorship & Coaching: Empower & grow engineers to take full ownership of the architecture and designs of their solutions
• Collaboration: Align technical direction with business goals across teams

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Proven software architecture and development experience.
• Expertise in NodeJS & PHP
• Strong background in microservices & event-driven architecture.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
• Hands-on approach – you still love coding and debugging.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong system design skills balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
