Position Overview:
Autodesk ACS (Autodesk Construction Solutions) R&D team is looking for an experienced software architect to join its product development team and provide technical leadership in building world class cloud-based software products and solutions in the construction industry. If you are a person with strong technical background, and proficient in architecting cloud-based solutions considering scalability, robustness, flexibility, and privacy aspects, possess strong design and coding skills, passionate about critical thinking while solving problems, we would love to hear from you!
You will be part of an agile team of smart and highly motivated engineers building highly scalable, secure, and cloud-based products/services. You will work in a global team and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations, support etc. You will work with latest technologies in a flexible environment
Responsibilities:

Define and implement architectural strategy for Autodesk cloud products
-
Architect and design highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant systems
-
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.

Provide leadership to the team in conjunction with Development & Product managers, UX designers.

Proactively and continuously evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the systems.

Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems as they arise.
-
Proactively and regularly make recommendations for continuous system improvements.
-
Active collaboration with various stake holders like Engineering & Product managers, senior architects, business leaders in building world class capabilities in the products.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
-
12 to 16 years of experience in software development/architect
-
Proficient in NodeJS and ReactJS technologies
-
Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming
-
Solid understanding of typical web application architecture (data, application, web tiers etc.)

Hands-on experience of developing RESTful web services.

Hands-on experience with Relational and NoSQL database technologies e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB etc.

Hands-on Experience with Amazon web services - ECS, Lambda, Batch, Step Function, Fargate, API Gateway, CloudFront etc.

Strong communication skills with the ability to converse fluently with multiple types of audiences ranging from engineering & product managers, Sr architects and UX designers.

Familiarity with service monitoring tools like new relic or equivalent and ability to find root cause, set alerts & navigate through logs.
