Software Architect

About the Role

As a Software Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of Rapsodo's products. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will design scalable software architectures, establish engineering standards, and contribute hands-on to building high-quality cloud-native solutions that power innovative sports technology products used worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Design and evolve scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for new and existing products.
• Define architectural standards, technical requirements, and engineering best practices while maintaining key design artifacts and API specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and code reviews, mentor engineers, and ensure high software quality across development teams.
• Evaluate and adopt modern technologies, frameworks, cloud services, and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Contribute directly to the codebase through architecture validation, refactoring, optimization, and hands-on software development.
• Drive continuous improvement by promoting clean architecture, modern engineering practices, and technical innovation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Software Architect or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and system integration.
• Professional experience with Go (Golang) and at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or Kotlin. Experience with Python is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and at least one major cloud platform (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
