The Role 

As a Software Architect at ATOSS you play a key role in defining, developing and analysis of our cloud-based products. You are a Java connoisseur and bring along experience with design principles, documentation models and software architectures, you have a growth mindset and possess good communications skills. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Analysis of requirements and development of technical concepts
• Evaluation of technical solutions and creation of decision bases
• Participation in our architecture team for the further development of our cloud-based applications in close coordination with the business units and the management
• Assumption of responsibility for innovative solutions tailored to real customer needs, taking into account cost and risk aspects
• Close cooperation with our colleagues in the developer teams in Timișoara, Sibiu, Hamburg, and Munich
• Technical education and training of our specialist development teams
• Evolution of development processes: From the selection of suitable tools to the definition of processes and methods

Key Requirements 

• Successfully completed Computer Science Degree
• 5+ years of professional experience in object-oriented software development with Java
• In-depth knowledge of current frameworks and cloud technologies such as Spring Boot, IAM, Service Discovery, Kubernetes
• Experience with design principles, documentation models and software architectures. In-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with event-based systems is a plus.
• Ideally practical experience as a software architect in the environment of cloud-native applications
• Strong analytical skills and hunger for knowledge
• Good English language skills
• Ideally some German skills
• Very good addressee-oriented communication (e.g., for technology experts, subject matter experts, product managers, management, CTO)
