Job Title: Software Architect, Fund Solutions
Location: Makati City
Role SummaryWe are seeking a technically strong and product-minded Software Architect to join our global engineering team within Apex Group. This role is focused on shaping the architecture of product-oriented applications used by real users across the organization, while guiding the modernization of a diverse application landscape spanning both legacy and modern platforms.
The successful candidate will define architectural direction, support high-impact technical decisions, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals. This is a moderately hands-on role suited to someone who can combine strong architectural thinking with practical delivery experience across .NET backends, React and Angular frontends, SQL-backed systems, and modern cloud and DevOps practices.
You will work closely with product, engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders globally, reporting to the Head of DevOps based in Spain. The role is based in the Philippines, with flexibility to work overlapping hours with European teams when required.

5+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant experience designing and evolving enterprise or product-focused applications.
Strong experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core for backend architecture, APIs, and application development.
Strong understanding of frontend architecture and delivery using React and/or Angular.
Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of application data design, performance, and integration concerns.
Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and secure distributed systems and application architectures.
Experience with REST APIs, application integration patterns, and service-oriented or microservices-based design approaches.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and modern delivery practices.
Experience guiding teams through technical decisions, architecture reviews, and modernization efforts.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical direction clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to balance strategic architectural thinking with pragmatic delivery decisions.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
