As a Senior AI Architect for Driver Experience at Daimler Truck North America, you'll pioneer how artificial intelligence enhances both our products and our processes, from intelligent driver infotainments systems to accelerating how we design and deliver software. Working alongside global counterparts, you'll lead the roadmap for process and product AI capabilities in the Driver Experience department.
Beyond our department, you'll be the bridge connecting our AI initiatives with the broader organization. You’ll partner with peers and leadership across product development, and collaborate with other AI efforts at DTNA and globally, to amplify the impact of AI solutions. We Take Care of Our Team

Position offers a starting salary range of $117,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD  

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience​

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Define and implement use cases with department development engineers
  • Lead artificial intelligence enablement within the Driver Experience department
  • Partner with global counterparts to define the AI strategy for Truck Technology (TT)
  • Connect TT AI strategy to DTNA AI initiatives
  • Evaluate frontier AI model applicability with a DTNA lens
  • Drive AI readiness of development and documentation tools and systems
 Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or similar), Computer Science, or equivalent degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong fundamentals in software development
  • Proven experience with DevOps Product Development
  • Development experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, Go)
  • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering
  • Experience with AI Agent development and deployment
  • Experience in product development environments
  • Experience in commercial vehicle industry
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders at multiple management levels
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
  • Proven ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies
  • Initiative and ownership of your area of responsibility
  • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to tackle problems outside your immediate expertise

  • Those eligible for a TN Visa (Canadian or Mexican National working in an Engineering, Accounting or Scientific Technologist capacity with an aligning degree)
  • Those eligible for an L-1 (inter-company) Daimler Truck visa under the Corporate Blanket L-1 program would require at least one-year of qualifying experience in the last three years
