OVERVIEW:

The Software Application Engineer supports our Motorsports clients with application support and development of PME-proprietary created software applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate will work in a team environment with responsibilities including, but are not limited to, the following items:

· Act as the liaison between PME Software Development Team and customer

· Provide customer application support for PME created database software application and motorsports competition service tools

· Assist customer in development of customizations to PME products via API based development

· Set up, manage, and run project meetings with customer

· Design, execute, and maintain test cases to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of QA frameworks, tools, and methodologies.

· Maintain test documentation to reflect evolving requirements and system changes.

· Identify, document, and track defects through JIRAs Ticketing system

· Communicate and Work closely with developers to resolve issues.

· Collaborate with developers, product managers, Business Analyst and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.

· Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, concerns, and objectives.

· Maintain clarity and set realistic expectations for customers under high-pressure conditions

· Provide training, demonstrations, and onboarding sessions to help clients adopt and utilize solutions effectively.

· Gather client feedback to inform product improvements and relay insights to internal teams.

· Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by clients through systematic investigation and root cause analysis.

· Ability to travel and be on-site with clients for data ingestion, support, training, discussions, and on-boarding.

· Provide on-site or remote support when needed for client Events.

· Outline process’ and client workflow for tool integration and training.

· Engage constructively in discussions by listening actively and contributing thoughtful input.

· Design and draft clear, concise, and well-structured reports that meet the clients requirements through Telerik.

· Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to plan and schedule database deployments

· Monitor deployment processes to identify and resolve issues in real-time

· Diagnose and resolve errors or performance issues during and after deployments

· Document deployment steps, lessons learned, and improvements for future releases.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and system upgrades.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Required Education and Training:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Software Eng, Computer Science, Mechanical Eng or a related field

· 1-3 years experience in top-level Motorsports

· Experience writing custom software using mostly Microsoft technologies

· Experience in working in a collaborative team environment with members in multiple locations

REQUIRED SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· Candidate will work proactively and professionally to improve performance through analytical thinking and strong organizational skills

· Strong communication and attention to detail skills

· Very good Interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills

· Good analytical and organizational skills

· Software development experience

· Willingness to learn and stay current with software development technologies

PREFERRED SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· C# / MS SQL / Angular

· Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, SQL, Azure, MATLAB, and Networking

· Software Management Platform experience (JIRA & Confluence)

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Limited amounts of travel may be required

· Must be able to multi-task in a fast passed, dynamic, and stressful environment while producing accurate decisions and results

Pay Range:

$68,600.00 - $109,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
