We are seeking a Software and Linux System Engineer to support the EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software and systems used by design teams across onsemi. This role focuses on troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues encountered by engineers while using EDA tools and associated infrastructure.
The successful candidate will leverage their Linux expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and scripting capabilities to support users and improve operational efficiency. This is not a software development role, but proficiency in scripting and programming is required to assist with issue investigation and resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for EDA tools and systems used by design engineers across onsemi.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues related to EDA software, tool environments, and infrastructure.
- Work closely with users to diagnose problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- Utilize Linux system knowledge to investigate and resolve tool and environment-related issues.
- Develop and maintain scripts and utilities to automate tasks, streamline workflows, and assist in problem resolution.
- Document issues, solutions, and best practices to improve support efficiency.
- Collaborate with global Design Infrastructure team members to ensure consistent support and service delivery.

Team & Location
The position includes members across Europe and North America. This role will be based in Bangalore, India, providing critical support to engineering teams across the APAC region while collaborating closely with the global team.
