What you will do
Thermal limits are the hidden bottleneck holding back the world’s most advanced technologies—AI infrastructure, semiconductor equipment, power electronics, and mission-critical defense systems. At Johnson Controls, we don’t work around those limits—we eliminate them.
Powered by our breakthrough Stack Forging™ process, we engineer high-performance thermal components and integrated cooling loop solutions designed for direct deployment into AI, HPC, and other demanding environments. The result: a best-in-class thermal management platform built for the systems that push performance to the edge—and beyond.
Join the movement as a Builder on the Stack Forging Thermal Solutions team at Johnson Controls as a Software & Advanced Manufacturing Manager in Burlington, MA.
In this role, you’ll be at the center of turning breakthrough thermal designs into reality. You’ll lead the development and evolution of JCI’s proprietary slicer and controls software—the critical bridge between digital engineering and physical production. This platform powers our Stack Forging process, enabling the creation of high-performance thermal components used in the world’s most demanding applications.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of software, advanced manufacturing, and innovation. You’ll collaborate across UX, design workflows, controls systems, and mathematical modeling to drive rapid digital-to-physical iteration and scale cutting-edge technology into production.
If you’ve built your career navigating the tension between moving fast and managing risk, and you know how to translate engineering execution into meaningful business impact, this could be your next opportunity! Grounded in software development best practices, you bring clarity and focus—prioritizing what matters most, confidently stopping what doesn’t, and guiding your team through change with transparency.
