Software Administrator Windchill & Creo

Mission:

The key user windchill creo will be the main contact person for both software packages,  windchill for configuration management and Creo for the design of our products.

He/she supports the other departments in finding the necessary solutions for there problems linked to the product development of configuration management.

In case there is the need to have supplementary modules of Creo or windchill,  the analyses and trials will be at your responsibility.

Training of newcomers & software updates will be also part of your tasks.

Within the Thales Group there are several tools & packages linked to as well Creo as  windchill,  it will be up to you to analyze the use of it for Thales Herstal and how do link our entity to these tools.

Mission Overview: 

Licenses & user ID:

• Monitor PTC licenses: Creo & Windchill
• Monitor server capacity and performance linked to growth of userID's & data storage,  alert in case there is a need to change the server configuration/ updates / maintenance
• Attribute correct license type to users
• Attribute correct role to USER ID's (assuring access to necessary data,  restricting approvals, …)

SW package Creo & windchill:

• Be able to modify role of the groups defined for WC & Creo
• Perform training on WC & Creo modules, also updates or new purchased modules

• Perform migrations of Creo & WC
• Be able to perform minor customizations on Creo and windchill e.g. add attributes
• Be able to perform data upload in an automated way  (e.g. upload raw material file/ data base)
• Be able to create specific filters based on department or work group needs
• Be able to program the creation of data packages pulled out of the windchill data set => to send to supplier,  baseline creation for customer purpose or internal milestones

Day to day tasks

• Assure Thales standards are followed in case of changes ,  analyze impact on WoW and introduce the changes in order to stay compliant
• Stay up to date on the latest versions of the norms used in our products
• Propose continuous improvement topics linked to Creo & windchill. 

Collect the needs of different services for WC & Creo,  evaluate the different options and propose solutions.

In case of new product line -> discuss design and product variance,  define CAD structure + E-BOM structure to obtain a minimum of complexity and variance in our PLM

Follow up the customizations on Creo & Windchill performed by external partner

Analyze interaction of WC-Creo with other SW packages or plug ins(e.g. ERP or MES system)

Assure the correct info is transmitted by the PLM and received by the other SW package

Stay up to date on the Thales Global plug ins for Windchill & Creo,  analyze the need to install solid link with them (e.g. ATGM,  TCIS, libraries for OTS parts, …) 

Monitor raw material library (use of existing materials,  creation of new materials)

Stay up to date on the market trends / evolutions for conception of products and evaluate the potential benefits for Thales Herstal (e.g. MDB -> model based design)

Mission Objectives:

• Assure all services have the proper licenses and rights in WC & Creo
• Perform continuous improvement on the use of WC & Creo
• Use your competences to find solutions for the demands of other services.

Profile requirements:

• >5 years of professional experience in Windchill & Creo in a similar key user role
• Experience in configuration and change management processes
• Know how on the interaction of WC & Creo with other systems (ERP, MES , IMDS, …)
• Rigorous, hands-on and organized
• Strong soft skills, effective communication
• Language: French proficient ,  English basic
