This role will be supporting a new Walk-In Behavioral Health Clinic in Anchorage.

The role of the Social Services Clinician is to work with and support patients through the provision of information/education, resources, advocacy and referrals. This position assists patients and families to navigate systems of care utilizing personal, community and governmental resources. The comprehensive impact of behavioral and physical health conditions on the client and family will be addressed in partnership with providers to meet their various social service concerns.

Adheres to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics. Functions within the scope of practice for Social Work and Psychosocial Services as detailed by the NASW. Utilizes the NASW Core Clinical Indicators as a standard of care and measurement of needs for education and/or additional training needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work
  • 1 year of work or practicum experience in the provision of social services

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
