The Daily Wire is looking for a Social Platform Specialist with a sharp eye for the moments that make people stop scrolling. You’ll turn podcasts, debates, interviews, live events, and text-based content into timely, culturally resonant social assets. This hands-on role also supports scheduling, publishing, and performance tracking across assigned platforms. Primary Responsibilities
- Create and edit engaging short-form video and social assets from podcasts, debates, interviews, live events, and text-based content.
- Identify culturally relevant, humorous, emotional, or conversation-driving moments with strong social potential.
- Repurpose long-form content into compelling, platform-native clips optimized for engagement and audience behavior.
- Enhance content with subtitles, on-screen text, motion graphics, and other creative elements tailored to each platform.
- Support publishing and scheduling across platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Meta, X, and Reddit.
- Write compelling titles, coordinate thumbnails, and optimize posting times, tags, and content categorization.
- Monitor reach, engagement, watch time, retention, and other performance metrics, using insights and A/B testing to improve future content.
- Collaborate with Platform Specialists and Social Leadership to align creative with platform strategy, performance goals, and publishing priorities.
Experience & Requirements
- 2–3 years of hands-on short-form video editing or clipping experience, or an equivalent portfolio demonstrating relevant skills.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar, with a strong eye for pacing, subtitles, motion graphics, and on-screen text.
- Deep understanding of major social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, and Snapchat.
- Strong instincts for social-first content, audience engagement, emerging trends, and what makes content perform.
- Interest in and familiarity with the political, cultural, and editorial news landscape.
- Strong understanding of the Daily Wire brand, voice, and Talent.
- Working knowledge of platform analytics tools and ability to use performance data to inform creative decisions.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent proofreading, grammar, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Skills Required
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably creating short-form social content
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience with After Effects
- Strong portfolio showcasing short-form video editing with focus on hooks, pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
- Deep understanding of platform best practices across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and X
- Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines and publish same-day on breaking news
- Strong editorial judgment to identify compelling moments from long-form content
- Experience collaborating within a fast-paced team and incorporating feedback
- Ability to maintain a consistent brand voice while adapting to different on-air talent styles
- Experience creating motion graphics and designing social media thumbnails
- Background editing for creator-led, talent-driven, or digital media brands
- Familiarity with The Daily Wire's content, audience, and mission
- Working knowledge of social media analytics including audience retention, watch time, and click-through rate and ability to apply insights
