The Role

As a Social Media Video Creator, you’ll create short form video content for major social media platforms used by Hagerty and Hagerty-owned/operated brands (Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok). You’ll dig deeply into Hagerty’s awesome archive of custom footage and also create new original content, spinning out a regular stream of snappy stories to engage audiences across the automotive enthusiast spectrum. This role is part of the front line of communication for Hagerty with social media users, so your work will directly represent the company’s priorities and goals—posts must be creatively curated, with provocative captions and thoughtful responses to audience comments. A working knowledge of cars and car culture will greatly enhance your success in this role.

What you’ll do

  • Create video assets for all channels on a daily basis, including content filmed in the field and existing footage from Hagerty’s extensive video library
  • Post bespoke social content, Hagerty videos, and/or Hagerty media on all channels, creating content that suits each channel’s needs
  • Monitor performance of your posts and refine for future posts
  • Monitor entire social ecosystem and then share trends and insights to optimize member engagement
  • Keep abreast of industry news, technologies, trends, and opportunities among Hagerty’s competitive set
  • Use Khoros, Curalate, and other required social posting platforms
  • Cross-train in teammates’ responsibilities to be better prepared for task coverage
  • Participate in moderation of inbound comments from social platforms

This might describe you

  • Fluency in using established social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) for B2C and B2B marketing.
  • Strong video editing skills both in-app as well as with Adobe Premiere, etc.
  • Working knowledge of social media marketing and management platforms (i.e. Spredfast, SocialFlow, Sprout etc.).
  • A good understanding of what’s trending within the social media landscape
  • Can respond to user and member comments in a thoughtful, considerate, and complete manner.
  • Able to travel
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understand our automotive landscape and have interest in the automotive space, specifically for classic and collector cars as well as motorsports
  • Work with passion and thrive with constructive feedback
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, communications, journalism or marketing

Other things to note

  • This position can be worked as a remote position within the United States.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
