About the Role
Cohere is seeking a creative Social Media Community Specialist to build and engage communities on X (Twitter) and Reddit. This intermediate individual contributor role is perfect for a digital storyteller passionate about bringing together audiences interested in AI and ML in a way that strengthens Cohere’s brand identity and technical credibility in the AI space.
Key Responsibilities
Create and post content tailored to each platform (X, Reddit) that will resonate with audiences interested in AI modelling and technology, ensuring a consistent yet platform-specific brand voice.
Be the voice of Cohere in communities on Reddit and X where AI models are debated, dissected, and discussed. Champion Cohere’s “Sovereign AI” approach and positioning.
Create a variety of content types, including text, visuals, and videos, optimized for social media engagement.
Stay ahead of trends and leverage AI tools for content ideation, generation, and performance analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Marketing, Product) to align content with broader company social campaigns and product launches.
Monitor social media analytics to refine content approaches and enhance audience engagement.
What We're Looking For
Experience: 3-5 years in community curation and content creation on X and Reddit, with a strong portfolio showcasing platform-specific strategies and audience growth at a tech company or similar organization.
Creativity: Ability to produce engaging content that stands out in a crowded digital landscape–from end to end, including copywriting and asset creation.
Strategic thinking: Skill in analyzing trends, audience behavior, and performance to inform decisions.
Adaptability: Comfort experimenting on new platforms and adjusting strategies based on emerging trends and technologies.
Collaboration: Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with designers, writers, marketers, PR, and product teams.
Ecosystem Knowledge: Proven ability to engage and interact with technical and developer communities with confidence and credibility
AI curiosity: Interest in leveraging AI tools for content creation and optimization, even without prior experience.
