Position Overview

Mindgrub is seeking a Social Media Specialist to execute our social media strategy, develop engaging content, manage our video series, and assist with paid social initiatives. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented, and data-driven individual passionate about storytelling, community engagement, and building brand awareness. While our agency manages paid social, you will be involved in the process and gain hands-on experience to eventually take on more responsibilities in this area.

The role is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days per week in our Baltimore office.

ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & Execution
  • Manage and execute the company’s social media strategy across platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube).
  • Develop and schedule content that aligns with brand voice, business goals, and industry trends.
  • Implement strategies to increase the company’s social media presence, following, engagement, website traffic, and conversions.
  • Benchmark and analyze the effectiveness of social media activity beyond just “likes.”
  • Engage with our community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and thoughtful manner.
  • Monitor social trends and proactively suggest new tactics to drive engagement and reach.
Content Creation & Management
  • Create and curate engaging content, including graphics, social copy, and interactive media.
  • Manage the production and publishing of our video series, ensuring high-quality and compelling storytelling.
  • Work closely with the design and content teams to develop eye-catching social graphics and multimedia assets.
  • Optimize content for each platform and stay up-to-date with best practices for social media algorithms.
Paid Social Support & Digital Engagement
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and agency to support paid social initiatives.
  • Assist in monitoring ad performance and learning the fundamentals of paid social media marketing.
  • Contribute to ad creative development and campaign performance insights.
  • Ensure social media efforts align with website content and lead-generation strategies.
  • Assist with landing page creation and optimization to support campaign goals.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
  • Track and analyze social media performance using analytics tools to determine long-term strategy and needs.
  • Report on key metrics, including follower growth, engagement rates, and content performance.
  • Use insights to refine strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
Requirements
  • BS/BA in Marketing or demonstrated experience working across multiple stages of the digital customer journey.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and online culture with confidence in executing campaigns.
  • Experience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., HubSpot, Later, Google Analytics).
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling written and visual content (graphic design or video editing skills a plus).
  • Bonus: Experience with website content management or landing page creation.
Compensation
  • $50,000 - $60,000 USD
  • Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, education, certifications, and overall experience for this role.
