Job Summary 

As the Social Media Specialist at Poppulo, you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing our Social Media strategy. 

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Director and being part of the wider Communications Team, you will be instrumental in creating and optimizing our social media channels. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Create and drive a social media strategy that raises awareness and drives engagement with the Poppulo brand 
  • Design, create, and publish high-quality content across our all our social media platforms, including LinkedIn 
  • Manage and moderate comments across all social media channels aligned to the Poppulo Tone of Voice 
  • Manage our social communities to help amplify our brand and build trust in Poppulo as a thought leader in the markets we operate in 
  • Monitor, track, and report on the performance of social media channels and campaigns, reporting regularly against an agreed set of KPIs 
  • Own our social listening activity, mapping insights, reporting findings, and using social listening to guide strategy and create opportunities for audience engagement 
  • Build relationships with influencers, both internal and external, and encourage them to support and advocate for our social content 
  • Support our senior leaders in running their social media channels and help raise their profile within our audience/community 
  • Create an internal social advocacy strategy working in close alignment with our internal communications team 
  • Working with freelancers on projects when additional support is required, briefing them on requirements, and prioritizing their workload 
  • Liaise with our content and design teams to ideate, develop, and create social media content that engages our audience and delivers on-brand messages 
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and share that knowledge with the digital team.  

Education & Experience/Skills Required: 

  • 4+ years of experience as a social media specialist in a global organization 
  • Proven experience creating and managing successful social media strategies 
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and the role they play in digital marketing 
  • Experience with design software tools such as Canva, Sketch, Figma and Photoshop 
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a similar field.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English) 
  • Capable of creating and managing tasks, setting deadlines, and meeting deadlines 
  • Good strong project management and organizational skills  
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Creative, enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative 
  • Creative with a flair for storytelling and driving brand engagement
