Purpose of Role/Summary:
The Social Media Specialist, is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns on various social media platforms to achieve marketing objectives and drive business results. Leveraging its expertise in social media advertising, will develop strategies, create engaging ad content, target relevant audiences, and monitor campaign performance to maximize ROI and achieve campaign goals. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and staying abreast of industry trends will be key to success in this role.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social media advertising strategies to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and generate leads or conversions
- Plan, set up, and manage paid advertising campaigns across social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest
- Conduct audience research and segmentation to identify target audiences and create tailored ad campaigns that resonate with specific demographics, interests, and behaviors
- Create compelling ad copy, visuals, and multimedia content that align with campaign objectives, brand identity, and platform best practices.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and optimize campaigns to improve performance and achieve KPIs such as reach, engagement, click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and return on ad spend (ROAS)
- Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to refine ad targeting, messaging, and creative elements for optimal performance
- Collaborate with internal teams, including content creators, designers, and marketing managers, to align social media advertising efforts with overall marketing strategies and initiatives
- Stay updated on social media advertising trends, features, and best practices, and incorporate new opportunities and tactics into advertising strategies
- Generate regular reports and insights on campaign performance, trends, and recommendations for optimization and improvement
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in social media advertising
- Any other Duties Relevant to the role
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in social media advertising, with a focus on planning, executing, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across multiple platforms
- Proficiency in social media advertising platforms, including Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Pinterest Ads, and others
- Strong understanding of social media metrics, KPIs, and measurement techniques, with the ability to analyze data and draw insights to inform decision-making
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for developing innovative ad campaigns and strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling ad copy and communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive and results-driven approach
- Certifications in social media advertising (e.g., Facebook Blueprint certification) are advantageous
Further Info:
- Working hours are 08.30 – 17.30 Monday to Friday or as per the departmental flextime arrangement
- The role is in Limassol, Cyprus
- A competitive compensation package will be offered to the successful applicant which includes great benefits etc.
