We're looking for a strategic, culturally plugged-in Social Media Manager to join Spotify's Social team in New York. This role will serve as a campaign lead across @ThisIsSpotify social channels, platform strategy, and drive corporate social communications, ensuring Spotify shows up with a consistent, bold voice across every channel and moment.

You'll partner with cross functional teams to take campaigns from brief to execution - working across creative, marketing, editorial, and agency partners to deliver best-in-class social content. You'll lead the reimagination of priority channels: diagnosing where our current strategy opportunities are, defining each account's core purpose on its platform, and building the content plan to get there. You'll also serve as the social lead for corporate communications, translating company news into content that resonates with our audiences. This breakdown of this role is 50% campaign, 30% platform strategy, and 20% corporate social comms.

The ideal candidate has led social campaigns end-to-end, has a sharp instinct for what works on each platform, and can move fluidly between managing a campaign war room and crafting a corporate comms post. You're immersed in culture, you understand how Gen Z and millennial audiences consume content, and you bring both creative ambition and operational rigor.

What You'll Do

    Campaign Execution (50%)

  • Serve as day-to-day campaign lead for social across tentpole and always-on campaigns, managing end-to-end execution from creative briefing through post-mortem
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager on overarching campaign strategy, translating strategic direction into actionable social plans with clear timelines, deliverables, and ownership
  • Coordinate with REVERB and other external agency partners on asset creation, feedback cycles, and delivery schedules
  • Lead campaign war rooms during peak moments, ensuring real-time content is on-brand, on-strategy, and approved
  • Support communications strategy and execution for Wrapped and other major cultural tentpoles
  • Manage cross-functional coordination with marketing, editorial, creative, and global market teams to ensure campaign alignment
  • Run post-campaign analysis, surfacing performance insights, learnings, and recommendations
  • Platform Strategy (30%)

  • Own the strategic reimagination of @ThisIsSpotify's presence on X, developing a differentiated content strategy and voice for the platform
  • Create and publish content for X, including real-time trend responses, campaign amplification, and always-on storytelling
  • Edit and produce short-form video content to recap campaign moments and cultural coverage
  • Track performance and surface insights to continuously iterate on what resonates
  • Corporate Social Communications (20%)

  • Serve as the social lead for corporate communications, partnering with the comms team to translate company news, executive messaging, and corporate narratives into social content
  • Develop social playbooks for corporate moments — earnings, policy announcements, Loud & Clear, and executive thought leadership
  • Craft copy in the voice of @ThisIsSpotify and executive channels, ensuring tone and messaging align with broader comms strategy

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in social media management, with a focus on campaign execution and platform strategy
  • Proven track record of leading social campaigns end-to-end for a major consumer brand or entertainment company
  • Deep expertise across Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, and emerging platforms — with a strong point of view on what works where
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft engaging copy across different platform voices and tones
  • Video editing proficiency — you can turn raw coverage and campaign footage into polished recaps and social-native content
  • Experience managing agency and vendor relationships, including creative feedback and delivery workflows
  • Sharp cultural instincts — you're always plugged into what's trending and understand how to make a brand part of the conversation
  • Operational rigor — you can build and manage timelines, briefs, and cross-functional workflows without dropping balls
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and cross-functional partners across multiple priorities
  • Experience with corporate or brand communications on social
  • Familiarity with real-time social strategy during large-scale cultural or company moments
